What happened to the first rematch?
There were talks of a rematch as soon as it was clear that there was a draw. For all of you conspiracy theorists, what a bettter way to milk the cow than to have two fights, two times the PPV incoming and two times the hype, but wait that is not all. May 5th was the first rematch date but Alvarez got nailed for Clenbuterol a performance enhancing drug. The Nevada State Athletic Commission canceled the evetn.
GGG had already been training and found a replacement for the May 5th fight, more like a punching bag, and destroyed Vanes Martirosyan in two rounds earning only 1$ million instead of around 25$ million for a rematch.
The art of the deal
Both fighters had said that they had other fights lined up, but they came to an agreement and the public gets what it wants, the rematch. The winner of this fight will be called the greatest middleweight of all time. Are we going to see another draw that will cause rage on social media and break the internet?
